About us
Most of us live in rooms that don't have the view we want. The window faces a wall, a parking lot, the next building. We make windows for those rooms — real wood, real shutters, scenes worth looking at.
The idea
Crafted Haul started with a simple frustration: nice wall art looks like wall art. We wanted something that changed a room — that you could interact with, that revealed something when you opened it, that felt less like decoration and more like an experience.
So we built a window. A real one, with louvered shutters that actually swing open on antique-style hinges. And inside the frame, a scene worth opening the shutters for — a hilltop village at golden hour, a lavender field, an arch of roses. Not a stock photo. A scene we composed to feel like looking through a window onto somewhere better.
What we make
Each piece is a handcrafted faux window wall piece: a wooden frame, two louvered shutters that open and close, antique-style metal T-hinges, ornate pull handles, and a mounted print of an original scene.
Real materials. Real weight. The louvers tilt. The shutters swing. The grain of the wood is visible. Nothing about it is pretending to be something it isn't.
The wood
Every frame is hand-finished from real wood — light ash for the bright, modern look, or warm brown walnut for the traditional interior. The grain pattern, knot placement, and tone vary slightly from piece to piece. That's not a flaw. It's the signature of a handcrafted object.
The print
The scene inside is an original composition — not a stock photo, not a generative shortcut. Each image is printed on 100% cotton canvas, 350g/m² — the heavyweight archival material used in fine art reproduction. The texture of the canvas gives the scene depth; the weight gives it presence. Provence lavender is where we started. Botanical, abstract, coastal, and seasonal scenes are next.
The hardware
Antique dark metal T-hinges and ornate pull handles. The kind of hardware that looks like it came off a real European shutter, because it works the same way.
How we make it
Every piece goes through the same steps. No shortcuts, no outsourced finishing, no "good enough."
1 | Source the wood Real ash or walnut, selected for grain consistency. No MDF, no vinyl, no plastic anywhere on the frame. |
2 | Cut and assemble the frame Each shutter cut to size, louvered, then mounted on the frame with the T-hinges. The decorative burned-square pattern along the bottom is hand-finished. |
3 | Print and mount the scene Printed on 100% cotton canvas at 350g/m², then mounted on a rigid backing so it sits flat behind the frame opening — never sags, never buckles, no glare off the print. |
4 | Quality check and pack Every shutter tested for swing, every print checked for color, every piece wrapped in protective material before it ships. |

Crafted Haul is operated under Savory Discovery LLC, registered in United State. We've been making wall art since 2020 and shipped to customers in 5 countries.
What's next
Right now, we're focused on the faux window. The Provence lavender scene is where we started, and it's still our most loved piece. But the same frame — same wood, same hinges, same weight — is the start of a collection. Botanical prints. Coastal scenes. Abstract compositions. Seasonal editions.
The idea is the same every time: a real window onto somewhere worth looking at. The only thing that changes is the view.
